Hypnotism

I went to a Hypnotist show where they have people come from the audience. I volunteered and got up there, and he did his whole act and would tell me stuff to do and I did it. After the show I had tons of people come up to me like ":shocked: holy shiz dude, you were so out of it!"

funny thing was though it was all an act on my part. I coulda done whatever i wanted, i just played hypnotized for fun 😛

I think that it is possible to be hyptnotized (in theory i guess) but those shows are all an act.

Yeah I hypnotized myself a few times after reading the Professional hypnotism manual. I posted about it about a year ago 😛

Yes folks, hypnotism is real. It's a science, accepted by all psychologists.
No one does the swinging back and forth thing anymore. How hypnotism works is that the hypnotiser basically "overloads" your brain to making your brain shut off and thus making you very suggestible.

Yah, I could see that being the case... because when i was up on stage getting "hypnotized" I really acted out of it, i didnt exactly know why (i thought i was just playing along, right) but He would ask us to do stuff like "rap like eminem" or "go ask someone in the audience to marry you" and I was just like "eh, ill do it and it'll be funny" but maybe that thought process WAS the hypnosis :Q

I went the whole night pretending "Man, I don't remember a thing, what did i do up there?" type of an act, and so were a lot of the other volunteers, so who knows who was and who wasnt

You were not hypnotized. There are two types of suggestibility, called literal and inferential. If he did not try to hypnotize you using the type by which you are suggestible, then it will not work on you.

 
Basically, hypnotism is an "out" for people. It gives them a chance to say what they are afraid to and later claim that they know nothing about it. No one can take control of another's mind by waving a pocket watch back and forth.

Go read a book. Hypnotism is real. It doesn't work on everyone, and most people of normal IQ can actively resist hypnotism quite easily by simply deciding that they do not want to be.

you can't be hypnotized unless you want to...

It does work on everyone. Just one method doesn't work on everyone. But if you use the right method, anyone could be hypnotized.
