hyperX vs mushkin (DDR 500 PC4000)

What is so great about the Kingston that I need to pay $500 to get to 2GB? Is Kingston that much better than Mushkin?

My issue is that I already have 1 GB of the Kingston and I want to take it to 2. But I'm looking around comparing to other brands, and it seems that the Kingston HyperX is way overpriced. Is there something I'm overlooking? If I am unable to find a good reason then I'll sell the Kingston and pick up the 2G mushkin. Thoughts?

IMO, go with the mushkin. Even if the kingston stuff is better, no way you'd notice a difference. They're both good companies, but at that price, the kingston stuff should be avoided.....unless it's some sorta super ram, or we're both reading something wrong.

Kingston has been hilariously overpriced, especially on their higher end RAM, for as long as i've been into PCs.
