The US went from being the superpower of the world to being on the brink of implosion from crushing debt. He then proceeded to manipulate the economy with price controls and other economic shenanigans such as an indefinite open-ended war with no definite, clear reason or ending-conditions, that sent the country down the toilet. All the while discriminating, oppressing free speech, and distributiing propaganda through the right wing radio and news stations that supported him to stay in power.

Mhmmmm.

Harare is about 125 miles from the nearest other country, which is Mozambique.

wouldent a country have to be together in the first place to be able to "fall apart"?

Zimbabwe was once the bread basket of Africa. Then Mugabe took over and kicked out all the white farmers and handed their farms over to his family and cronies. Zimbabwe went from being a provider of food to being on the brink of starvation. He then proceeded to try to manipulate the economy with price controls and other economic shenanigans that sent the country down the toilet. All the while killing and intimidating any opposition to stay in power.

Lack of inflation and deflation is not necessarily a good thing. You can read up about Japan's problems with lack of inflation/deflation.
