i have a p4 2.4 and ive been seeing that i think apparantly my processor has hyperthreading technology but it is disabled.

is there any way that i can enable it, its available on my processor?

If your chip is an 800 FSB one, then it's there (from your OC this is pretty likely). It would be available in your bios options. How do you know that it's disabled?

My 2.4B did 3ghz just fine so 3.1 wouldn't be that unusal. There is no way you as a end-user can enable HT in a CPU it is physically disabled on. It was exhaustively efforted by many and not a single confirmed success story emerged.

There are several different P4 2.4's. Only one has Hyperthreading - the P4 2.4C with 512k cache and the 800mhz bus.

If your CPU has HT and it's enabled, you will see 2 CPU's in device manager.

You cannot enable HyperThreading on the 2.4A Prescott. It is burned into the CPU itself, like the multipliers.
