Hydrocodone barely helps with pain for me, and it's not very recreational either. Oxycodone improves on both of those aspects for me, however.

Once the doctor also gave me fentanyl... I can see why people like that stuff, I'll just leave it at that.

Hydrocodone is MUCH better if you wash the pills down with a couple of ice-cold beers...Hell, Percodan is a lot better that way too!

Meh, hydrocodone only slightly dulls the pain and kinda makes me a little bit hyper. Not anything like the side effects I've heard from some people, even when I was taking like 3-4 a day for my wisdom teeth.

Esp. in the OP's case since he got prescribed the weakest dosage, 5Mg. I'd have to take 3 of those to notice anything at all..

I dislike Hydrocodone very much. It barely has any pain killing effects, and makes me constipated for at least 24 hours after taking even one...Not for me. Oxycodone has the same effect. The only opioid I like is Morphine

It comes in different strenghts. I would bet the dentist prescibed the lowest dosage for wisdom teeth.

Me too...and serious hives and other allergic reactions...

If I take it with benadryl, I can tolerate it, but (for some reason) I can tolerate percodan and oxycodone without the benadryl.
