So... Asus 780 is cooler, quieter and less expensive, and HCW calls the Classified the best 780?

So overclockability is automatically more important than noise and heat? Not everyone even overclocks, and those who do often like to keep it to a level where they can have the best balance between performance and fan noise. Since the Asus card is quieter and cooler, it is better for that purpose. And it's less expensive... even if you could say, apples to apples, that one card is better than the other, the worse card could be overall a better pick given a significant enough saving.

I agree with you cool and quiet is important, but if i was going to splash that kind of cash it would be the classified every time.

If it's literally the fastest single gpu card available (potentially), absolutely.

And a few bucks difference at 650-700 USD is literally chump change for those seeking the absolute best.
