Huzzah !!!

Deadwood starts March 6th.

Can I get a Huzzah?

Huzza or huzzah is first attested in 1573. According to a number of writers in the 17th and 18th centuries, it was originally a sailor's cheer or salute: "It was derived from the marine and the shouts the seamen make when friends come aboard or go off." (North, Examen, 1740). It might be related to the earlier hauling or hoisting cries, heisau! and hissa!, as in these citations:"With 'howe! hissa!' then they [the sailors] cry, 'What, howe, mate! thow stondyst to ny, Thy felow may nat hale the by.'" (The Pilgrims sea-voyage and sea-sickness, 1430) and "The marynals began to heis up the sail, cryand heisau heisau." (Complaynt of Scotland, 1549). There is an old word heeze or heize, meaning 'to raise', which has cognates in both the North and West Germanic languages.

Huzzah. I'm getting pumped up, and it's only monday. Love this show.

Although I'm not much for drinking, I must say that this show would also make an excellent drinking game show. One drink for your favorite explitive. Don't choose CS though or you will be drunk within 5 minutes.

I can't wait for the new season to start as well you lousy corksuckers!

ahem.. good show though I do wish they kept the Bill Hickok character at least for one season though I understand they want to be historically correct about some things.

I prefer cork soakers. From the SNL skit. I love it when SNL comes up with those skits. The other good one was colonel ingis.

You know, I don't watch hardly any TV shows but I saw an ad for this show and decided to check it out. It was on the Fox channel here (Mexico) and after I saw the first show, I was hooked. Anyway, the last show they had was when Bullock finally made it with the widow (I forget her name) and decided to become the sheriff. That was two weeks ago and they didn't have it this last week. Was that the end of the first season? Or is there more?

Hopefully, they'll have this next season you guys are talking about here sometime. Maybe in about a year. They had Band of Brothers here on the A&E channel about 4 months ago and I finally got to see that too. Have never seen any of the Sopranos, but that sounds like it might be alright as well. Maybe we'll get that some day.

That was the last episode of season one. You can probably find it in torrent format shortly after it airs, if you are into that sort of thing.

WTF is this show? Actually, if it's not about outlaw cowboy vampires, then don't bother telling me......I mean, afterall, I watched some of Lonesome Dove the Series and about 5 minutes of Bonanaza, so I've had my fill of cheesy Westerns for this century.

It's the opposite of cheesy. It's vile and gritty. In a good way. It's like a david fincher western, basically. You'll know what I mean the first time you see a scene with a room full of swearengen's prostitutes. Inevitably there will be some reference to hygeine or more likely lack thereof.

Also, there are a lot of epsiodes where some hogs owned by chinese people eat corpses. They like to cut to hogs once in a while to remind us of that even if no one was killed and fed to them recently.

It's so realistic, you can almost smell them, and they stank bad...

Quoted for truth.
