Strange thing is how can a gift card be out of stock? It's not like it's pre-printed or something.

The are all the same card and someone just ran it through a machine to add dollar to it. So a $100 looks the same as a $25. That means they can just take a whole bunch of blanks and make them $50.

Makes sense but since it's not a mom-and-pop operation, probably they don't have persons that can stop what they're doing and scan them as needed. They're pre-scanned based on the expected sales volume. It's speculation on my part. Maybe they have a machine that does it automatically.
