I think they only do a certain number of names per year (around 20) so not every letter in the alphabet is represented.
21 names, where Q, U, X, Y, and Z are not used(you try coming up with some reasonable names with those letters!). .

Hurricane Zoltan! 😀

Hurricane Zombo 🙂

I love how oil went up $4 before it's even done a thing...

Damn speculators, though if Rita was a direct hit on Galveston/TexasCity/Houston like it is perdicted to it would take out a very very large chunk of the petrochemical refining industry.

Hey, time to hike gasoline up another 50 cents per gallon. I mean, it actually fell below $3 a gallon in phoenix a few days ago so they need another Hurricane to save the poor oil companies!

Here comes another storm.

Tropical Storm Rita
Please shut up with the storm updates. Seems the norm now is everytime there is a cloud on the horizon some dolt here feels a need to make a post of gloom and doom about it. I live in south Florida and I don't give a crap about it.

yeah on all the prediction maps this is heading right for houston/galveston.... Im about 70 miles inland but right on the track of this hurricane if it ends up where the weather people expect it to be.

i gotta fill my tank tonight. i did it before katrina hit. man that was good old $2.50/gallon gas 🙁

I am wondering the same thing, if this thing gets big enough (cat 3+) I am not going to stick around to find out.

Someone update the title, it's Hurricane Rita now.:Q

Most likely will become another Superstorm too.
Chicken Little has spoken: the sky is falling!

If it hits Texas it will be a 5 at landfall. The gulf is the warmest right now, it will rapidly strengthen once it gets pas the keys.
