Katrina is the only major one that I can remember (I can obviously remember it since it was last week). I've lived on the gulf coast almost all of my life.

I live in California. When I feel an earthquake I get outside.

When I live in a sub sea-level plane surrounded by water with levees built to withstand a cat 3 hurricane and a cat 5/4 hurricane is predicted well in advance I'll be sure to stock up on supplies and/or GTFO.
