Meh. It's going to curve out to sea well before the East Coast.

I would be more worried about Invest 92 in the Caribbean, if it's still alive. I haven't looked at the tropical forecast since this morning, and it looked like it may not make it.

Edit: It lost almost all of it's deep convection this morning, but it looks like it's coming back to life. The models have it hitting the Yucatan as a moderate tropical storm midweek, as of now. Another meh.

Edit2: After reading the latest, it appears Igor's fate is more uncertain. This will be an interesting week. We should know by Wednesday whether is poses a threat.

Most likely, it'll head out into the North Atlantic. But, if it follows this track:

Well, then, things will be interesting in New England.

Yikes, don't watch the news for a couple days and this comes along!

Looks like I better keep an eye on this monster, aiming pretty close to me in the northeast.

Before you panic, note that was a storm track from 2004, not a predicted track for Igor. I haven't looked at the pressure systems over North America, where the jet stream is, etc., to have a clue which way it's going to go. And, I haven't seen any predictions other than passing to the West of Bermuda. (Not that Bermuda is ruled out.)

So if it follows the GFS, we should be fine. NOGAPS, not so much..

It's still a long ways out. Those models will change quite a bit over the next few days.

Lots of uncertainty in those models as always. Heck look at the intensity forecast! Now NHS is showing CAT5 winds (135kn) in 72 hours.

This definitely bears watching not only for the east coast but Bermuda as well. Fabian was a solid CAT3 (105kn) storm in 2003 and REALLY took a toll on Bermuda. A strong 4 or 5 would be severely devastating to this place. :'(

Ok, was starting to wonder where you got that one as I couldn't find anything yet.
