12 inches in 5 hours isn't a nothing. But around me right now, it's rain, but I don't consider it anything more than just another simple storm, hence a big nothingburger.
Tell that to the people that lost their fucking life in the flash flood caused by your "fucking nutin". You sound like a trumpshitforbrains, I'm OK, so fuck you... well fuck you.

First off don't ever suggest I'd vote for that spectacular waste of space you ignorant ass.
Second, I was only commenting on what is happening around me. This is not a condolences thread but a thread about the storm. It sucks what happens to anyone in any type of storm like this. I wouldn't wish any type of bad situation on anyone because of weather.

Not sure why you feel the need to come after me for saying the storm isn't bad around me, but maybe take a deep breath and reread what you type before you click reply.

Kinda boring storm so far. I have a few down twigs in my backyard, and the power was out for about 30 seconds.

Same here, and I live twenty miles from the coast and the center of the storm ended up passing over our house. By then sustained winds were only 35MPH and we never had any heavy winds, thunder or lightning. Not complaining as I hate generators and still haven't bought one.

Granted, I misread your post, but I don't live in NJ, so I guess we're even.

My guess would be its the way you chose to say it maybe?? 😉

I got off easy too but even though Henri has not been that bad (so far) compared to Sandy for example a LOT of people have been hurt and thus its a sensitive subject.

So far nothing but normal rain/breezy in my area ... I've seen thunderstorms 20x worse then this. (not that I'm complaining!)

Yeah not bad here either, lost power for a bit but that was it! Some debris around. Feeling very fortunate, as the power & light company was thinking some areas would lose power for up to 21 days, yikes!

The news always tends to sensationalize storms and floods. When I was in NOLA a few years back, they kept showing footage of this one street that was flooded. I was there for 3 days and saw no flooding at all, but the national news made it look like the whole city was underwater.

9th Ward, baby. I was in NOLA one time only, arrived the day after Mardi Gras ended 2018. Stayed for around 5 days. Last full day there we had a canoe venture booked in the swamps but they nixed it 'cause of forecast thunderstorms. Those never happened. 🙁

Tell that to the people that died from "just rain" in NC and TN, when tropical depression Fred dropped 12 inches of rain in 5 hours in some areas.
If I saw 12 inches of rain in 5 hours it would be the rainiest day of my life for sure. It would be something of a catastrophe for me because my drainage sucks.
