Nothing wrong with a father calling his son.

But why during the business meetings? And why have him on speaker phone? 20 times over a decade so about 2 calls/year on average, not crazy excessive but the whole thing just seems at a minimum to be inappropriate.

Were any laws broken? I don't think so, but it seems like Hunter was just trying to flaunt his dad and/or sell the "illusion of access" as others have mentioned.

Regardless, I think Joe Biden should have had better judgement in those scenarios. Is it impeachable (can you even impeach him for something he did in a different term in a different position?), IMO not at all but Biden has to realize he has opened himself up to major criticism that won't go away.

Lol wut? He took two calls a year and you think he should have known better? That’s some weird logic you are using there. If I only took two calls a year from a family member, I certainly am not being picky when I take them.

Okay, so he is saying just because Hunter was guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors (the funds from which he is trying to plead guilty to) happened back a few years ago that its no longer relevant?

Hogwash!

If Daddy Biden knew what his shady son was up to, why did he play along? Here is the most likely reason:

Well, he did know some things

This thread makes me sad. I'm gaining a new respect for the mind's ability to completely ignore evidence that is in conflict with an individual's world view. I fear that it's a lot more common than we might think, and it's incredibly disheartening.
Also the different standards applied here are both hilarious and sad. Trump is out there proudly bragging about committing dozens of felonies and people are like ‘I don’t know…’ but here people are like ‘WHY DID BIDEN CALL HIS SON’

If no laws were broken, what, really, is the point of all this?

I think it's very possible Hunter was trying to benefit from the "illusion of access". But as for your last point, that would only be significant if there were otherwise a belief that Biden was the perfect President, to be uncritically supported. I already know he's not that great, he's just massively preferable to the only likely alternative.

As far as I'm concerned there are far more questions to be asked about Johnson putting the son of a crony of Putin in the House of Lords.

This seems a far more substantial scandal to me.

I mean, nuance is a thing.

You can say Trump has committed a bunch of felonies and still say that Biden showed poor judgment in staying on speakerphone during his son's business calls. It certainly doesn't mean they are equal in how egregious they were. Again, nuance. At least that's how I would characterize it.

I agree there's potential room for criticism of Biden here (although given what we know even that is a stretch) - I'm also not saying you are equating the two. I mean more in the public discourse Biden calling his son is somehow considered scandalous because of a potential conflict while at this time in his presidency Trump was proudly and openly receiving bribes from foreign governments and nobody really cared.

I think this is mostly because liberals actually care about good governance and Republicans do not.

The former president operated a corruption factory in the open six blocks from the White House for four years. I don't think I have to take anybody seriously who wasn't complaining about that but somehow has Hunter Biden issues.

What I found most interesting about the Trump hotel was that immediately after he lost it went from bustling to a ghost town. What a strange coincidence!

While of course it is facially corrupt as shit even if you can't prove a direct quid pro quo it's obvious that the governments/businesses who stayed there believed it was to their benefit to put money in the president's pocket. I wonder what made them think that?

Point being Hunter made the call not Joe. What impropriety did Joe commit? That should be the question.

If Joe called into Hunter's meetings, I would be on team improper.

Lol I blame everyone feeding the troll
I know his claims and statements are never in good faith, which is why I don't bother trying to inform him of facts and truth. I'm better off telling it to a brick wall. At least the wall doesn't lie constantly and misrepresent everything it can.

Others have more patience or hope or leniency than I'm willing to offer to his type, but I don't get down on others for trying (aka feeding the troll.)

This whole thread is but her emails and Benghazi done Hunter style. They know their base is ignorant and brainwashed so they repeat lies over and over Goebbel’s style until the alt-fact is seen as fact and fact are seen as woke.
You sure are brainwashed.

Hunter is (almost) a convicted criminal by his own admission and yet your claim is he is still innocent like your thought leader Hillary Clinton.

I'm at a loss for words. 😕

Uhm, Comrade, you are moron of the first order. Where did I say Hunter was innocent? Hunter is a private citizen who never held public office or position in government. This is all theater to attack Joe Biden just like Hilary’s emails and Benghazi which never amounted to anything..

Also still never answered the rebuttal to your lie about the prosecutor being fired in Ukraine By Biden was corrupt. it’s too bad your intellect was hampered by the lead paint chips that flaked off from under the bridge Into your lying, rotten mouth. Your beta trolling may have earned better than an F. You are obviously mentally challenged so I won’t bother anymore.

‘’also, where did a comment about Hillary being my thought leader come from. That is even more dumb. Comrade you need to not be the asleep sheep but be woke and awake to basic reality. Comrade.I ignore Russians so on ignore you go Comrade Orange stained brown Trump ass tongue

😆

I knew you would deny implying Hunter was as innocent as Hillary is. "It's much ado about nothing!"

The rest of your post is nonsensical. Here is a bro hug to cheer you up. 🤗

Hunter conned people into thinking he had influence with his dad when the evidence proves he clearly did not (As Biden and the Obama admin did the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Hunter's marks wanted.
If anything, Biden is guilty of fraud in Ukraine against Burisma... who are clearly NOT pressing charges because they were busted for corruption after the corrupt prosecutor was removed.

Joe Biden PROVED, beyond any shadow of doubt, that he was not influenced by his son or the people paying his son.

The hilarious attempt to paint Joe guilty is just pathetic. Pull your head out of the right-wing echo chamber's ass.

As long as the nepo baby is outside the White House, it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. Just sleazy. Nepo babies inside the White House, well that's a problem. Idiot kids have their low intelligence and zero experience taken advantage of by many (Sa'udis joked Jared was a spineless toy, Indian diplomats/business owners thought Ivanka was a complete moron) but they'll still find a way to enrich themselves.

$2billion from SA, $1billion from Qatar, and daddy just scored his 3rd indictment in less than a year?

Man, those Bidens have some serious catching up to do. Better hope for a serious pandemic to ignore for a few months Joe, if you want to step to Il Douche's body count.
