The story got hugely bogged down. Jordan spun so many story lines each 800 page book furthered the plot by about 3 days, and occasionally wouldn’t even feature main characters (or they were stuck in the circus).

However once Jordan knew he had limited time he outlined the rest of the story and Brandon Sanderson took over once Jordan passed away.

The last three books positively flew by in comparison. Sanderson was trimming branches and winding storylines up every chapter until it was manageable again.

I’d say it ended on a high note, but it was a slog to get from book 8 to the last 3.

(The final book is on the next shelf since it couldn’t fit them all).

It was a slog to get past book 3. I finally gave up at like book 9 (think I bought Winter's Heart but then didn't read it) when I realized I hadn't enjoyed the books beyond like book 3. Beyond book 5 (the one with Moraine...), it was like 50-100 pages of actual things moving the plot at the start and end of each book, and then like 700 pages of guys going "women, can't live with 'em can't live without 'em" and women going "harumph, men!". Granted, that was probably better than the anti-communism ranting that Sword of Truth turned into.

Did it end up being that Hunter Biden's dick was the real Dragon? Cause otherwise I don't really know what that has to do with this thread.
