Last summer, at Sziget 2009, I ate the most delicious chicken and mushroom dish ever. The Sziget festival was in Budapest (Hungary) and I'm looking for the recipe to that dish..

It had chicken, mushrooms, onions, some kind of cream and it was served with a big chuck of bread.

If anyone knows how this is called or even better, how to make it, please help! 🙂

that's assuming it's a pepper dish ( i think everything hungarian is, lol), mushrooms aren't always in it.

You mean pepper the spice or pepper the vegetable? Because there were no vegetables in there except garlic and onions IIRC. In any case, not (bell) peppers.

I ate it three times in Budapest, twice on the festival terrain and once in a restaurant. It was supposed to be a Hungarian classic dish.

It was made a little differently every time I ate it, though.

Unfortunately not, Crono.

It looked like a kind of thick pasta sauce or a stew of some sorts. It was really creamy and smooth, well-spiced. It contained at least nutmeg and ground paprika..

I tried D1ggers link, and it's tasty but not what I was looking for. Thanks anyway, D1gger!

Pepsei, no, that's not like it at all.. I'm sorry if I'm making it hard on everyone.. 😛

name of the place then? sometimes you can find menu online and check.
hell, i watched tony bourdain's trip to vietnam and he mentioned a place he liked, so i looked it up on the internet... and i was AMAZED at how cheap it is to eat like a king there. a 9 course meal only cost like $5 after conversion.
