Any modern webbrowser (even netscape) should be able to view PNG.. but here is a GIF

Thanks. Right now my modern browser is IE 4.72
I am not installing anything else since I think if the finances are just right I am going to build a whole new machine and don't want to waste time on this one.

Yes, and it doesnt lose quality like JPG.

Compared to a high color JPG, its good compression and looks a million times better then jpg. JPG tends to screw up text in a picture, which is why I use PNG or GIF.

Compared to a gif, which is 256 color, the compression is alot better.

PNG also supports all the nifty things like animation, transparancy, ec..

PNG can be high color like JPG, or 256 like gif. It replaces both of them, because the compression and quality is much better.

you need the newest version of the browsers.....

Im surprised that IE 4.x doesnt support PNG correctly.. netscape has supported PNG partially for a while now. I believe the last versions, and mozilla offer complete support of PNG.

ie 5 finally has the plug in for png. 4.x did not as far as memory serves.
