Humble Bundle - Botanicula

I hate to say it, but I feel like I'm getting indie game burnout. It seems like there are just too many similar looking and playing games coming out and I feel more and more apathy towards them.

Nonetheless, humble bundle rules.

I'm totally familiar with the feeling of "indie game burnout", so I feel you. However I have to put a special word in for this bundle.

Botanicula just came out literally today. This is a fantastic deal you're getting for a brand new game. I should probably mention, this game is *gasp* actually good. If you enjoyed Machinarium, Amanita's previous point-and-click puzzle adventure game, then you'll enjoy their new one.

I picked it up today and started playing it, and while I was a little taken back at first by the bizarre art style and gameplay, it almost immediately started growing on me and now I love it. The game absolutely oozes with personality and atmosphere. I feel attached to my little creatures running around the trees. 😛

The music, the sounds, the graphics, the animations, and puzzles are just awesome. They really did a great job of making the game feel "alive", like everything is moving and you can click on almost anything and something will happen. I'm completely entranced with it.

That's all. I'm not usually into the shitty hipster artsy-fartsy type indie games, but the quality on this one is in a whole new league of it's own. Recommended.
