King's Bounty... humor me. Is it a lot like Might & Magic?

It's a modern reboot of the old DOS game that the HOMM series was a sequel to. Old KB -> HOMM -> KBL

The major differences from HOMM are
- you have 1 hero and no home castle to defend
- enemy troop levels are static instead of growing over time. So at the start, there are many areas that will mop the floor with you and you must avoid them until you level up and increase your armies.

To me it's more low-stress than HOMM 3-on, because there is no race against time to defeat the AI before its forces become impossibly strong.

If you get this, pay above the average to get Crossworlds too.

The king's bounty series was a lot of fun for me. I played on on the train into work on my laptop since its turn based and you can put it away immediately with no big issues. RPG world map and turn based fights that are pretty worthwhile.
