Brave as hell. He stood up for what he believed in. Rare exception of a Chinese dude with big balls.

Bravery. Stupidity supposes he didn't know what he was doing, and I think he did.

Well he is brave, but i consider him stupid, brave but stupid. because dying wouldnt do any good to his cause, why not save his life and try actually acomplish something?

he probably helped more than most. do you know how many millions of people saw that photograph. it was a big deal in its time. sometimes all you have to do is lead by example.

Maybe the fact that we all know that picture means that he actually *did* do something.

I dunno. If you think about it, the tank won't run him over and they can't move because the last one has to back up and such. I think this man is really just a military genius...or really good at chess.

actually no, he moved with them... notice first picture tank hasnt reached crosswalk, second one it has and he's still in front of them. hmmm... i guess he never did stand completely still ;)

I'd say brave. He stood up and made a statement worth making, and the message was spread because of it.

I do think he survived though, I heard his friend pulled him away before he got run over. Dont think the tanks were moving
