its over 200, your preferial vision can see things that are slightly behind you,
270 is a 3/4 circle... the geometry just doesn't work out at all.

i can put a pencil right on my nose and i cant see teh ends of it, its too close to your face

Yes I'm moving my eyes, that's why I said it was painful to maintain. I came up with it by noting the farthest spot back on the wall next to me that I could see. Then I noted the position of that spot to my head, and created the diagram by "eyeballing" it. Hehehe.
Also interesting to note, that when you throw neck rotation into the mix, I have a full 360° view (without body movement).
