Human-animal hybrid ban sought in Louisiana

So Louisiana is possibly going to be the first state to put a ban on Human-Animal hybrids.

If I could I would probably cross myself with a fish for the ability to breath underwater. Lots of water in the world to explore.

What traits would you create ?

BATON ROUGE -- Legislation that would prohibit scientists in the state from creating human-animal hybrids for experimentation -- believed to be the first such ban proposed in the nation -- has been filed for debate at the lawmaking session that opens April 27.

Iono about exploring water since those "unexplored" waters are probably filled with things that want to eat you or the pressure is too great for our bodies. Would still be sweet though as long as you don't have huge ass gills hanging off of your head.

How about a lizard's ability to regrow lost body parts and a shark's ability to digest almost anything. One of those chameleon tongues would be awesome as well; for use with the ladies.

Legislation like this is retarded.

These states want to take the moral high ground by restricting research yet they'll happily use health care that benefited from the advances that resulted from it. If they don't contribute, they shouldn't benefit.

From what they say, most ATOT members are already hung like horses and strong as oxes. Republican members in P&N can fart bolts of lightning too.

I live in Louisiana and this is the first I've heard of it. WTF are they making laws against stuff that isn't even possible? One of our legislators must have stopped on the SciFi channel for a few seconds too long while switching between Fox and TBN.

Its bolts of lightning from the eyes and fireballs from the ass. IE blowing out all that gas and having a lighter underneath.

yep.

as far as traits go, I'd like to hybridize the body size/penis length ratio of the lowly barnacle, the largest ratio in the entire animal kingdom.

my cock would take down power lines as I strolled down the street.

Some trait that would re-balance my immune system so I don't have to look forward to being crippled. 🙁

<---- has an autoimmune disease

No, if that where the case the legislation would be to ban human/ghost interactions and to control ghost haunting...

Wow I did not realize this was actually something people did, let alone has become a big enough problem for them to make a law on. 😱 Had no idea it was even possible to the point that you could survive more then a few weeks.

That said, being cross bread with a squirrel would be kinda cool. Gives a whole new meaning to giving a girl some tail. I would just hope I get to keep my human reproduction organs, I just want the tail and the teeth, and the super good eye sight and hearing. I would have this bad urge to chew all the wires in the UPS room around lunch time though... Mmmm, nice chewy copper center.

Looks like it is getting closer to being possible. from last year:
britain's first human-animal hybrid embryos have been created, forming a crucial first step, scientists believe, towards a supply of stem cells that could be used to investigate debilitating and so far untreatable conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's and motor neurone disease.

Lyle Armstrong, who led the work, gained permission in January from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) to create the embryos, known as "cytoplasmic hybrids".

His team at Newcastle University produced the embryos by inserting human DNA from a skin cell into a hollowed-out cow egg. An electric shock then induced the hybrid embryo to grow. The embryo, 99.9% human and 0.1% other animal, grew for three days, until it had 32 cells.

Eventually, scientists hope to grow such embryos for six days, and then extract stem cells from them. The researchers insisted the embryos would never be implanted into a woman and that the only reason they used cow eggs was due to the scarcity of human eggs.

i hear people have tried this with horses. e.g. the movie "Zoo".

it would be cool if we could Centaur's (horse-people combinations). i'm not sure
I'd want to be one (or make one), but there would probably be some acting
opportunities for them in Hollywood.
