Now that most of the decent shows are getting jacked off the air for new horrible versions of shit like Hell's Kitchen, Hulu has become somewhat of a ghost town for the past few weeks. I've been randomly checking out new shows and have found some to be pretty interesting.

Queue up Royal Pains. I was expecting it to be a doctor drama (which right now there are 8 bajillion of - like Nurse Jackie..) and was pleasantly surprised to find him fired within the first 5 minutes of the show. At the risk of spoiling the rest of the amazingly funny episode, I'd simply like to say it's so far like Entourage meets Scrubs meets Swingers. First episode left a very good impression on me to say the least. Give it a try!

Huh. I suppose. I found Burn Notice to be a boring action-drama. Royal Pains is more comedy-drama. Thats like apples to oranges.

Hero loses job, hero get involved in problems of other people while trying to get his own sorted out, hero MacGyver-ishly improvises his way through the solutions, Hero narrates what he's doing. Apples to apples. And if you don't think Burn Notice is a comedy-drama then the jokes are just over your head. It's a Burn Notice clone with a doctor instead of a spy. But rather than being a good clone it's a 3rd-rate clone.

Sounds like they are going after Team Fortress 2 updates. Next show will be a demoman followed by a Heavy Weapons guy

Man, you guys just can't be happy to have something to watch. =P Hulu's been like a blank slate for a while so I'm just excited to be able to see something new without having to check back a week later to see something new a second time!

I don't watch things just because they're on or just because they're new. They have to be GOOD, otherwise it's a waste of time. Royal Pains isn't good, it's a copy of something good.

Hey genius, almost everything is a copy of something good. The most popular sitcoms have been cloning the same old jokes and premises since the Honeymooners was original. Why do you think they keep re-making movies? 😕

Wow that was really well written and pretty funny!

I like it a lot, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the star's father being the Chair of my firm. Absolutely nothing.

USA has locked up my thursday night tv DVRing.
