First impression: it works fine.

Visual quality seems about the same as on the PS3, and I had no buffering or stalling problems. It's better than the earlier versions of the PS3 app (which did have problems) but the last PS3 version before The Great Outage fixed those for me.

The user interface is a bit less fancy than the PS3 one, and unless I missed an option you can't just browse the full list of choices the way you can on the PS3, you need to use Search instead. Search works well, as you pick each letter a-z the matching titles list narrows down.

Suggested show to watch, that isn't on Netflix: ReGenesis - biotech drama that's sort of a cross between House, X-Files and MI-5/Spooks.

I like it, and the only thing preventing me from cutting my cable cord and going Hulu/Netflix/Zune exclusive is the amount of content on Hulu Plus that is listed as "web only". As soon as they allow more content, I will gladly make the switch.

The Office was not on the local NBC affiliate this week, due to the Trailblazers game. So, I signed up for the Hulu Plus free trial, figuring I'd cancel it within the week.

But after checking it out on the Xbox and iPod touch, I'm seriously considering keeping it a little longer. If they come out with the Android app soon, I may be totally sold.

I'm actually quite impressed with the selection on Hulu Plus and am interested in subbing up, but the fact that they show a 30-second ad pretty often turns me completely off. I'm not going to pay $8/month to see ads. I already do that with DirecTV.

I'm not getting the web only bs, it is a web connection on my 360 that allows me to access hulu. And why in the hell does it matter if I watch on a monitor or my tv? I can simply hook my laptop up to my tv via the hdmi output

It's the networks not Hulu doing this -- they know that most people won't connect a PC to their TV, so if they restrict content from PS3, Xbox and Roku then that means most people can't see it. For TV they want you to pay for cable, DVDs, or purchased episodes from Amazon / iTunes.

The networks own Hulu (NBC, ABC, Fox). So it is Hulu doing this.

I think it depends on whether it's a show Fox, etc. owns or controls -- you do get the full current season of House and Bones on your PS3, but not Fringe. And nothing from CW or CBS.

The said part is they don't see how much money they could gain by improving hulu. You stop giving me good new shows on hulu, I'll stop paying for hulu plus. I'm not going to have cable again, so you lost any chance of making money off of me.

I never got around to trying it this weekend, but I think I'll give it a shot soon.

I'm slowly cutting my cable cords too. I recently dropped down to the lowest tier just to get the local channels in clear (now much luck w/ antennas yet) and with this hulu costing less, it might be what I need.
