Hulu just showed me an ad for KY

Bateluer

Lifer
Wut?

Ad implies that the male in the video is a 'square' and reserved. He plainly states he folds his socks.

I've always folded my socks. People don't?

Nope. Dont fold socks. I overlap one sock onto the other into a ball form and shoot it like a basket ball in my drawer. Much more fun this way. lol folding socks, wtf.

Before my girlfriend no socks were folded. Now that I have nothing to do with laundry or folding, my socks are folded.

<baller>I don't wash my cloth, wear once, throw away.</baller>

Just in case it is not obvious, I am not the baller.

No folding socks for me.
I view folding of clothing as a means of avoiding excessive wrinkles. Since socks are not really terribly visible when worn with shoes and pants, there seems to be little value in folding them.

that commercial is hilarious. and speaking of HULU commercials, have you seen the one for MS Office 2011 with the mom who makes videos and powerpoints, etc for her kids on how to eat healthy. she seems crazy to me.

I carefully pair up my socks and then I ... take a staple gun and pin them to my wall!

Ok just kidding.

I think I do the same thing El Guaraguao describes - the way my mom taught me.

Here's a pic I googled which shows exactly how they look:

They go into a drawer as they come out of the dryer. All my socks are the same, so it doesn't matter which two I grab.

wtf, some OCD... the socks are neatly placed...

Yeah but that's nothing, there's so much space and not many socks so easy to do that.

IN my situation I have a tight space so mine are just piled up in a sort of pyramid shape heap

It usually works better when you pair them and just do a partial-ball with the elastic binding them with a single turnover. You keep socks that are matching (or with about the same elastic in them) so that you do not pull an Erkel with mismatching color or one tight and a droopy sock.

As for why KY would be better for a sock folder? The mind boggles, but then realizes that this is incredibly stupid and moves on.

I have a sock drawer. I throw the white socks in the front and the dress socks in the back. Over time it has turned into white socks on top and dress socks on the bottom. It works for me.

Same. I also try to keep it to 2 kinds of white socks that way if I grab any 3 I have a pair.

Wow, talk about anal. Not to mention I hate prematurely stretched out elastic causing my socks to fall down around my ankles. No sir! My socks all get dumped into a drawer just the same way they come out of the dryer.
