These stupid invites are a brilliant marketing trick, you act like you're limiting access, but infact you get much more people in, since everyone wants to see what the fuss is all about.

They have "The A-Team"!! And all the good SNL digital shorts (better quality than Youtube.) I'm impressed with the content so far--if they make good on their promise of adding more seasons, more networks, and HD content then it will be the best site for streaming TV.

The HD preview gallery is pretty cool--you need the new version of Flash (came out the same day--coincidence?) which enables high def h.264 video and AAC audio. Hopefully this is what Youtube will look like in 2-3 years!

Anyone have access to this site? I now have an account there and it's pretty nice. Good quality, no buffering, short commercials. The new stuff is live the day after. It's missing a lot of content, though.

short commercials? the wikipedia entry says 1/4 of the clip is freaking commercials.

exactly.

this is a service offered by the fucking big tv networks. unless you're paying for it, it's not exclusive.

WP says, "1/30th up to one quarter". I haven't seen anything near 1/4 of the clip being commercials (nor 1/30th). I went to Hulu and viewed a Family Guy episode; there were three 30sec spots in a 21:48 long show. That's about 7% commercials. A 43:00 Monk show had five 30 sec spots. These episodes were randomly chosen.

I still think the content is lacking.

It's called a limited beta. The site isn't done yet.
