Hulu is really staring to grow on me.
Even though they force you to watch ads (I don't usually have to do that on my media center/DVR) I like it.

But CBS.com just plain svcks. I was trying to watch an episode of one of their shows and boy is it a lousy experience.
The video stutters HORRIBLY!
WTF - this is one of the largest media companies in the world and they can't figure out how to buffer video in flash??????
I wouldn't even mind having to wait for a buffer but having the video play for 1 second, then hang for 1 second, then play 1 second, then hang, etc????
Tried restarting, even tried different PCs. No dice.
CBS.com just svcks.
(I hope that site dies and all their content is moved to hulu!)

Guess I am back to torrenting any episodes that MCE screws up recording (wrong Copying Prohibited! Yay!!!)

Most of what cbs does online seems pedestrian to me. Sportsline, one of the first online sports sites, is just ok... nothing like espin. Used to make you use realplayer to watch their shit.

amen. i hate with a passion cbs.com for watching episodes. i wanted to watch NCIS on there. it was impossible. i would get halfway through and episode, go to commercial and when it came back from commercial it would give and error that it was unable to find the video. then i would have to reload the page. watch 2 more commercial as i tried to find where it left off, and then have it do the same thing a few commercial break later. on top of that. the full screen feature did not work on my tv. if i left it on my main monitor it worked, but if i moved it over to my right screen(which is my tv) it would only show 1/4 of the video and cut off the rest. worst user experience i have ever had watching video online like that.
Hulu makes it so simple and it just plain works. hardly ever have to wait for buffering and everything works as expected.

CBS is a shitty media company.

I despise watching anything on there, and would rather torrent it than watch it on CBS.....

Their online player didn't work for me in chrome or firefox. Once in IE though I was able to watch scrubs without issue, but I definitely shouldn't have to change browsers for shit like that.

I was just watching something on cbs and thinking how much it sucks that they don't allow it to buffer like a normal flash player.
