I was wondering what do you guys think about the hulk previews. That have been running all I can say is that it does'nt look realistic I was talking to some guys that are comin book junkies and they said they don't remember him being able to do all of the stuff that the previews are showing.

I will go see it.😀

From the preview of The Hulk movie, it looks like Ang Lee[sp?] decided to take the story and go in a different direction from the TV Series 🙁

<-- I'm w/ NFS4 on this one, I won't see it.

It looks unrealistic and untrue to the story or series - but I will see it anyway cause it'll still be a cool flick.

I loved the tv series. I wished they made a human hulk as opposed to a CGI version. BTW, do they have the series on DVD?

I hated the TV show... loved the comic before friggin Rob Liefeld(?) and those doofs screwed with it royally.

Looks like ILM did an amazing job... at least with the action shots. I'm pretty confident about Ang's portrayal of Banner and his struggle with ol' jade jaws.

EDIT: doing what stuff? Jumping really friggin far? Yeah... Hulk travels by jumping... really far... he can eat a multimegaton nuke and walk away from it. If he gets angry enough... there's NOTHING that could stop him. But that's the original pre-Liefeld Hulk. I've always seen the Hulk as someone unnaturally big. He's supposed to be over 10 feet tall according to Stan Lee's guys.

I don't remember the show much but remember it having a very melodramatic and depressing tone.. That's great in my opinion.. The movie looks kinda "pulp" and cheesy.. Too many bright colors if you ask me..

I read a review that stated that save for an ending scene, the action shots shown in the trailer are the exception. Apparently the Hulk only gets 15 minutes of screen time and the rest of the movie is dedicated to character development, etc. It sounded pretty interesting reading the guy's take. I'm not sure if I should post the link because he basically outlines the entire plot of the movie.

I thought the special effects were top notch, but the story wasn't very strong.

btw: For anyone who says the Hulk does inrealistic stuff in the movie, they were just getting back to his roots. Read:

http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/h/hulk.htm

One of many things that have been complained about what his jumping ability, which was said to be unrealistic. In truth, the Hulk was supposed to be able to jump as far as 3 mile in a single leap. Read the above page and you'll see what I mean.

In addition to great strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to injury, pain, and disease. The Hulk's skin is capable of withstanding great heat without blistering (up to 3,000° Fahrenheit), great cold without freezing (down to -190° F), and great impacts (he can survive direct hits by field artillery cannon shells). It is possible to injure him: he could not, for example, survive a near-hit with a nuclear warhead. The Hulk's highly efficient physiology renders him immune to all terrestrial disease.

The Hulk can use his superhumanly strong leg muscles to leap great distances. The Hulk has been known to cover 3 miles in a single bound.

the movie is crap, there are like 3 action scenes in the whole thing...and his jumping looks ridiculous...

I think it looks pretty lame. I really haven't liked a lot of the movies based on comic books that have come out. However, I just watched Spiderman for the first time about two weeks ago, and I loved it! Kirsten Dunst is hot...

realistic is the LAST thing a guy who turns big and green when he gets angry will be called.

i give it a chance. i have a hard time believing it could be worse then daredevil 😉

if they can pull off the cg even reasonably, it will be fine. cg human thats not gollum level deformed is hard to pull off.

I noticed that the commercials running now have MUCH improved CGI shots over the trailer that ran with the Matrix. I think they screwed themselves by running trailers with unfinished CGI, though. How stupid was that???

I saw it already. It's a cool movie, lot of action but very slow at the start. It's like, you can skip the first 40 minutes and just watch the rest for action but still understand the story line.
For those who says they potray Hulk unrealisticly, please, go read the comic.
IMO, hulk in the movie could've been more powerful.

Apparently, the negative reaction to the SuperBowl trailer really concerned Ang Lee. But here's what Newsweek had to say:

Listen to the man, Ang. The Hulk in ?The Hulk? is arguably the most challenging CGI character ever attempted?a thinking, feeling monster who grows from nine to 12 to 15 feet depending on the size of his tantrum, runs 100mph, leaps three miles and tosses tanks like toy cars?but Lee and ILM have pulled it off. The creature actually gets more impressive as Hulk emerges from darker settings into the light of day, culminating with a showstopping set piece in the Mojave Desert. (Gollum was great, sure, but he resided in a fantasy world, not ours. He was also a wuss.)

"The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets!"

I read the comics in the late 70's/early 80's, and Hulk was the strongest superhero around. In fact, during that time period, he never ever maxed out his strength. He'd always just get madder and madder. He even duked it out with Superman once.

Oh my GOD, THIS MOVIE WAS SOO GOOD. I have no idea what these other homos are saying. The CGI WAS VERY VERY REALISTIC considering hes a friggin green giant. you guys are so damn picky, come on, get a fvcking life
