He's retired before, but he's at the age where he should seriously consider it.

Hogan's gonna be around until he stops making the WWF (and himself) money. From the looks of things, that could be awhile.

Actually business is going down since Hogan won the belt. The teenage viewers are tuning out in droves,

Yeah I know, which is why general consensus is that he becomes a side act and not the main event. However, it's not fair to solely blame Hogan. The roster split, and the loss of the Rock, the total failure of the NWO, and just the overall bad booking are all culprits.

The WWF is going down the tube? Has my prayer been answered, finally? I doubt that I could be so fortunate.

Wrong, if you want to talk numbers i can, the WWE initally started to fall in fall of 2000 but stayed at a consistant pace (Raw 4.5 to 5.5, Smackdown 3.8-4.5) until Hogan won the belt. Smackdown has since dropped to an all time low(2.9), Raw has dropped to a 4 year low (3.7 non holiday). Teenagers dont want Hogan as a champion. House shows are down to WCW levels (4000-9000) , and PPV numbers for Backlash (hogan vs hhh) are not good at all. A great reaction does not equal a good draw.

That has a lot more to do with the split and just the same old same old than Hogan winning the belt. If anything Hogan is bringing back viewers who want to see him go at it.

Not really, Backlash for example would be a ppv you expect to be Huge with Hulk Hogan going after the WWF (at the time) title in what could be his last shot at it. The ppv was a big disappointment when the early buy estimates came in, PPV has the best of both shows on it wasnt like you only seen half a squad, so you cant really blame the split. Also Smackdown ratings started a downfall after the split but it has Hogan, Rock (for one week), Jericho, Angle, Edge to name a few whereas Raw held up for 3-4 weeks until Backlash rolled around.

Nope, Smolek is 100% correct. Hogan has brought back the "old-timers", but he has been one of the reasons why the numbers are dropping.

The WWF is at a stage where their numbers are free falling. The last time this happened was in 1996. They'll get over it soon.

BTW, all these retirment angles are a bunch of BS. How many wrestlers have retired in the past 2 years? Its really pathetic these writers never learn from their mistakes.

Hogan wont be gone for longer than 2 months.

Yep, Wrestling travels in cycles. This so happens to be the point where it drops for a while, they always recover though.

terry bollea should retire when he had the belt. it would've been cool if they had a tournement for the title.
