how come my passwords aren't saved any more in IE?

like when you go to an FTP site for e.g. there is usually a popup window that says enter username and password, with a save username/password box. that box no longer appears! did i mess up some setting?!

Are you sure you want your passwords saved on IE?

edit: I would think that would be among the first things the kiddie hackers might go after. Before you know it, they're buying stuff on ebay using your name, etc.
