OK. Here's the problem. I built myself a completely new pc. I have been verry unfortunate though. First of all, I waited 2 weeks to have my MOBO RMA'd because it was warped and was completely unstable.
Now I decided to OC my venice and I got it up to 2.4ghz. Problem is that I cannot push it ANY further than that, and to keep it at that speed I am pusing 5.135v through it. I know that is HUGE. First off, I would like to be able to OC a lot more. I am deciding whether to get a new heatsynk or not as my temps right now are 35 on idle and 50 on load (which I think is preety big). Do you guys have any idea why I need so much voltage and why I am running so hot?
Here's my rig.
3200+ Venice
A8n-e motherboard
7800gt V-modded mem to 490/1270
2x 1gb OCZ platinum @ 2325 timings OC'd to 233@ 2325 timings and completely stable
Western Digital wd1600js Sata 2 HDD
I would LOVE to have that proc. at 2.8ghz (maybe higher if I get the Big-Typhoon). I just can't believe I'm so unlucky as to get 2 bum things while buying a pc. (mobo and processor). However I hope it is my fault with the processor, and not the processor itself. My chipset may also be running too hot as I touch it and it is verry hot to the touch, but I dont' think that would affect it too much.
ANY help would be highly appreciated.
