Guys I am planning out a new high end render box to make in a few months.

I am planning on going SCSI Ultra 320, bu I don't know if I should have fast or wide or what? I might use RAID, not sure.
I will need some info on the different connectors, male female etc terminators, LVD,etc.

On a side note, any upcoming technology I should be aware of for a box like this.

if you are planning onjust a couple drives per channel there prob won't be a benefit to u320 vs u160, but there will be a big difference in price...especially RAID cards

Just add a RAID card and 1 more HD for RAID 5 and you're set


Actually I think RAID 5 works better with 5 drives but still...

what board are you running? the 320 is useless on standard pci motherboards. You'll need one that supports the 64/66 speed. Otherwise read the manual of the adapter card , and hard drive(s) you're planning to run
