Huge Processor Video Bottleneck?

Half-Life 2 will be somewhat playable with the settings turned down. I'd really recommend finding a cheap used PC with an AGP slot that you can transplant that 7800 into though. You could probably find an AXP/P4 in the mid 2ghz/2500+ range w/512MB or more for $100ish, barebones. Just add your drives/video card to it.

yes, it would be a huge bottle neck and probably not playable since HL2 is a very cpu-Dependant game

I guess you'd be able to play whaterver you were playing with the 6800 Ultra. But yes, it will be horribly bottlenecked by your CPU and memory.

Oh my, this isn't the standard question I was expecting. In this particular instance, yes, you will have a bottleneck. You could always pick up a processor/MB off of ebay cheap, or FS/FT.
