Huge problem getting my SCSI CD-RW recognized under Windows 2000!!!

Guys, I have a big problem getting my SCSI CD-RW recognized under Windows 2000. I only see it as a regular CD-ROM and none of my burning programs see it as CD-RW. Is there anything I should watch out for? This problem is really weird. Thanks guys.

What sort of drive is it? Manufacturer? Make? Is it pretty old?
