Huge Problem: Automatically Rebooting

I just finished installing my NB-1C on my IC7-MAX3 and now whenever I press the power button to boot up my computer, it automatically turns off. All of the fans and lights turn on for about 1 second then it all shuts off. If I hold onto the power button it will start a cycle of lighting and turning everything on then off then on again. Please help I am very worried!

Thanks in advance!

Aloha JoeMok and welcome to the forums. Is the CPU seated properly in the mobo? Also you have to make sure the HSF is plugged in the mobo. You might want to list your computer hardware so that others may give you some more positive input on what's going on.

Good luck.

Yeah, don't exactly know what an NB-1C is. Did it work fine before? Did you try removing the NB-1C to see if it would boot up? Checked your connections?

I did a google and the NB-1C is a Thermalright heatsink (with fan?). The other item is an ABIT mobo

I just had a similar problem, which was caused by motherboard standoffs being too tight or otherwise in need of adjustment... they had caused a short to the back of the motherboard.
