HUGE Oblivion Problem

***SPOILER FOR MAIN QUEST***

Okay I am on the part where I am supposed to get the aid of several different cities. I need to close all the Oblivion gates in front of the city before they will give me the aid though. Now my problem lies in a previous broken quest. I did the vampire cure quest and it turned out to be broken because I talk to the argonian and she says that the Count is still mourning. Well this is a problem because whenever I talk to the count he says, "Please go." Therefore I could not initiate the close the Oblivion gate quest and I cannot do anything even after I closed the gate. The broken vampire quest has essentially broken the main quest for me. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem or if they know of a fix/solution to it. As of right now, I am 35 hours into the game and I cannot continue the main quest.

Also, there was another quest that is apparently broken. The vows quest where I must find some runaway husband and retrieve the family heirloom. I found the runaway husband, killed him, took his weapon (and a few more since it "created" copies when autosaving) and she still has the same prompts as she did after I accepted the quest. So I got four weapons STUCK in my inventory (at least they weigh 0) because she will not "accept" the weapon to finish the quest.

Not even the ones for the Aid to Bruma quest? I thought that was something Jauffre wanted me to do.

I think its optional. When you speak to the countess, you are given an option of starting the fight without waiting for the aid.

The Aid for Bruma, fortunately for you, and unfortunately for me does not seem to tie in at all to the main quest... I did it thinking that it was requested by Jauffre but when I finished it, it just ended and that was that. It looks like the only person that gives main quest is Martin.

Are you sure you were supposed to have killed him and not just simply talked to him?
