he has made a chilling prediction that a quake measuring at least 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale will hit a 31,200-square-kilometre area of southern California by September 5.
. . .
San Simeon, where a 6.5-magnitude temblor struck December 22, killing two people.

GOOD. Maybe the entire state will sink into the ocean.

You know, it is easy and perhaps funny to say this, but if Cali fell into the ocean, the economic havoc that would befall the nation would be terrible. Think of the amount of lost business, tax revenue, the cost of relief efforts, and the loss of a huge amount of this nation's farmland, not to mention the enormous loss of life.

I would never want to live in Cali, but I think that if it fell into the ocean, it would be the worst disaster and trial this country would ever face.

I would rather live in a world of hell than a world with California.

What's the population density of San Simeon? What kind of infrastructure does it have?

This, hole we call LA.
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.

Earthquakes cannot be predicted.

actually, believe it or not, my Geophysics teacher said the Japanese had a system of sensors at one point that allowed them to predict to the minute when and where earthquakes would occur...the only problem is that it only worked for a small section of Japan where the sensors were 😛

I think they decided the earth was way too big to cover, and scrapped it.

oh, Cali's great there's no doubt...it's just (1)some of the people that live there are very, very cuckoo and (2) everything's super expensive and (3) can you say taxes?

Basically, as long as you keep to the state parks Cali is :Q
