Bloggers submitted their content to huff post under the agreement,

“they would receive compensation only in the form of exposure and promotion.”

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media...paid-bloggers-still-unpaid-151793.html?hp=l23

But after huff post sold out to AOL for $315 million, the bloggers wanted a piece of the pie, sued and have lost so far.

How greedy can you get?

lol.

No one told them to work for free. They deserve it. They chose to work as slaves on a digital plantation so some rich limousine liberal lady can make 100% profits on the work from a bunch of hipsters with 100K lib art degrees who wanted to work for free.

huffpo hates big business and corporations acting all corporationy, until they see a way to make money. At that point they start acting remarkably like those ebil corporations acting all corporationy ;)

I'd say they're getting market value for their work ;)

Based on most of the drek posted there, I'd say they're overpaid. :D

This "news" is a couple years old and is a good example of the proper handling of spurious litigation. These people knew going in that they were not going to be paid. No one forced them to do it and there are plenty of places that do pay for writing. It is irrelevant that the owner(s) of the site made a financial killing when the site was sold. These people were free to walk both before and after the sale.
