Hub Problems

I purchased a powered hub for usb 2.0. The problem is, my devices aren't working on it. It shows the hub in the hardware subsection of the system section in the control panel, but my devices (scanner, printer & cam) aren't working.
I'm using an Albatron PX845PEV mainboard which supposedly has 2 usb 2.0 ports in the back & 4 in the front. When I attach any devices to the mainboard either in the back or on the front of my case, they work fine. I replaced the hub & cable, but still having the same problems. Can anyone help?

Make sure that the USB 2 is enabled in the BIOS and some Hardware items will not work via the Hub as they need a direct connect (esp Printers and Scanners), not sure about Cams.

Then a hub is really useless for me, then, as that's what i'm hooking up...a printer, scanner, and a cam. Guess i'll just get a pci USB card as I don't really like the scanner & printer plugging into the front of the case.

Check the Hardware in question websites and ask them about this matter. If you do decide to go the PCI route then I would recommend you getting 1 that also includes a Firewire Port as you never know when you may need that ability (ie. HD, Vid Camera)
