http server and win xp

vital

i just setup an apache server on my win xp system but people can't connect to my host even with firewall disabled for my connection...anyone have any idea why?

well, it worked fine under win2k......i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong...i just installed win xp, then apache for win32, and disabled firewall for my internet connection...
i can access my http server but not other people...

Apache might not be setup correctly. Just for testing purposes grab SimpleWWW Server (I think that's what it's called) over at AnalogX and see if you can connect with that running. If not then something (probably your machine) is blocking a port somewhere.
