Edit: Ok, doesn't seem to happen to me when I click the ZZF link in THIS thread, but it definitely happens when I click the link in THIS thread.

It seems to be used for referral links. There's a previous thread on it:

It was killing AT at one point, it's much better now. You can banz0r it to remove the problem completely.
