HTPC/TV-DVR question

So I have an i5-2410M laptop that I want to convert into an HTPC/DVR/media server.

Would it be powerful enough for streaming/DVRing 2-3 TV shows connected to a Ceton/HD Prime cablecard usb box?

Specs:
i5-2410M
Win 7 Home Premium
8GB Ram
128 GB Intel 510 SSD
640 GB HDD
1xUSB 3.0 port which I can expand for 3 additional USB 3.0 external drives
1xUSB 2.0 port for Ceton/HD Prime box
1xUSB 2.0 port for wireless kb/mouse

It's more than powerful enough. My HTPC has a Sandy Bridge Celeron and it does it easily though I'm using the PCIe version of the InfiniTV.

btw, Ceton recently released a 6-tuner version of the InfiniTV that uses Ethernet instead of USB and also is capable of dynamically assigning tuners.

Cool thanks for the info. I was kinda worried that it might not be powerful enough for 2-3 streams/dvr while media serving with XBMC but it's good to know, I'll just wait for any potential hot deals for the usb cablecard tuners.

I have an old C2D doing it. The main concern I'd have is HDD performance. I know its not super hard on drives, but laptop drives can have some epic suck.

My HTPC/DVR is an AMD Athlon X2 5000+ and I can have it recording 2 channels while watching a previously recorded show. And my HDD is a green 5400rpm. You won't have any problems.
