HTPC speaker interference / constant buzz?

I recently hooked up a PC to my home theater receiver and speakers using a 1/8" --> RCA cable. The speakers produce a constant buzz when on the HTPC source, but are perfectly clear if I play a DVD or listen to the radio. Why do the speakers produce this buzz only on the HTPC source and how can I fix this?

Thank you.

move the speakers away from all other electrical sources. See if that works - also, try to clean the way the cables are arranged, so that they don't cross each other too much, or too close together

I gave that a try but it doesn't seem to have an affect. The buzzing isn't there on the other sources, so I don't think speaker location or cabling is a problem (I've been using the home theater for years now with perfect sound).

The buzzing is only there with the PC sound hooked up and it gets louder/quieter as I adjust the volume. If the computer volume is really low, and I use mainly the receiver to control volume, the buzzin is worse. If I turn the computer volume to its maximum, the buzzin is reduced.

I'm no audio expert, so I'm confused as to why this is happening...

I've updated drivers, changed cables, you name it. That's why I posted here...

Thanks for the help, though. It still buzzes! 🙁
