HTML/JSP: Passing multiple choices from form to next page

I have a form where users can ctrl-click and choose up to 4 (actually 8 as there are 2 forms on the page)

I have no idea how to the pass multiple choices through to the next "action" page the form is

<select name='team1players' multiple style='width:100%' size='12' >

so if 1 were chosen, like a normal form you just use (these are .jsp pages BTW) request.getParameter("team1players'")

but since team1players can equal 1-4 values no idea how to seperate that on the action page...
