HTML INVISIBLE Links

I have a computer problem that I cannot solve and it is driving me nuts. I am running Windows Vista and the latest version of Firefox is my browser. If there is a link in an HTML document that you can click on to go to a different page for instance, the link is always invisible. If you click in the blank space you see where the link would be if you could see it, the link works and you go to the page the link sends you too. So the link is there, you just can't see it. Also if I highlight the link by holding down the left click on my mouse and then moving the cursor over the invisible link, the link then becomes visible. Bizarre and has caused me some real problems.

Links everywhere else show up and work fine. It is just in HTML documents that I have this problem. I don't know why or how to fix it. I don't know what program, add on, etc. makes those links show up.

Any Ideas?

Much appreciation, this is for a friend.

Do you get the same behavior in IE?

EDIT >> In Firefox, go to Options > Content > Colors
