Has anyone here done any hard-core usage of HTDig for a production level web site?

I am currently setting up a search engine for the college I work for and I am trying to setup a cron job to update the index on a regular basis. The problem is that I only want to update specific areas of the site on some nights, then maybe a monthly full re-index of the site. I want to create different .conf files for various cron jobs I want, but I don't know what exactly to change in the new .conf files. The default htdig.conf file is all setup and works.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
