HTC One Soft Bricked- Stuck @ CM load screen- Can't get into recovery

Toolkits for the HTC One are awful! I have tried a few and nothing really worked for me. I took the time to do everything manually, and learned a whole lot more

I get Nexus devices because they are easier to root.

I know this is a fairly old thread but I want to revive it with some fresh information on how to fix this problem.

I encountered this error after running the rum runner program that helps you s-off an HTC One. I fixed it by using fastboot and running the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3". I also ran "fastboot erase cache" and I reflashed the recovery partition.

Doesn't that first command just get you back to S-on?

Yes it does, so basically something went wrong with s-off and I fixed by switching s-on
