HTC EVO owners, did you get a notification to update to Froyo today?

I installed a rooted version of the initial froyo ROM (got pulled), I'll upgrade to the new one once there's a rooted version out (which may have already happened).

Was prompted yesterday to install 2.2 Kind of nice that we now have 4G service in Grand Rapids. Made quick work of the 85MB download.

Nope, I am running CM RC1.

It's out in multiple custom ROMS ATM, but I don't know about an actual rooted stock rom.

got the update notification yesterday and it practically bricked my phone /facepalm

sucks that I don't have time to take it to a sprint store till Wednesday.

it's more bricked than not. heh.

it's in a reboot loop. had to take the battery out to get it to stop.

I honestly don't notice any performance boost from 2.1

Help guys. Two things changed once I upgraded to Froyo:

1) My screen won't fully turn off unless I press the power button. The screen will dim after a minute, but will not fully turn off. I have the screen timeout set to 1 minute

2) When I am currently in the SMS screen, it will not make a sound when a new txt comes. You can imagine, with problem #1, that after I txt and set the phone down, since it doesn't turn off, I don't hear new txts

Halp please.
