Let's churn that rumor mill! The latest rumored release date is June 4th.
http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2011/05/20/htc-evo-3d-possible-release-date/

Over on PPCGeeks there's speculation that the phone will be offered at an upgrade price of $199. If the phone is available on June 4 AND if it's the same cost as the Nexus S 4G then I'd have massive buyer's remorse if I used my upgrade on the Nexus. :)

So who's anticipating this one? I'll be upgrading from a Touch Pro 2 so It will be a hell of an upgrade for me.

I'm certainly anticipating. Honestly, I'd like to see a Pre3 as well because I want the smaller form factor. And honestly, as lame as the name synergy is, I'm not sure I'll like the Android experience (multiple gmail, one google app, couple exchange, one imap, all push email).

Though, the Nexus S is very nice to hold. The EVO and 4.3" screens in general feel a bit too large for me.

Yeah, maybe the Nexus's saving grace is the form factor. 4" is a very nice size for the pocket and still large enough to satisfy for web browsing.

Nexus' saving grace is pure Android goodness plus updates first before anyone. It's still a good phone even though it's not state of the art any more.

Its such a shame that I cant upgrade till September. I was all set to upgrade on release until they threw that change in yearly upgrading for premium members. Maybe something better out by then (lol)?

If you had an upgrade and then they removed it, you can call and they will give it back to you. There is also a sprint rep on sprintusers.com offering to help you with getting the upgrade back.

If you wait until September then you can get the Samsung Galaxy S 2 instead.

HTC.

If Sprint is taking pre-orders it will be soon. I think the rumored June 4th release is right and $200 on contract.

I think $200 is optimistic. The Nexus S 4G is $200 and it's sporting 1 year old specs. Even the Touch Pro 2 was $300 when it was released.

I just switched to sprint and I noticed their 3g wasn't as good as Tmobiles...I only get like 500kbs...is this normal?

Well it all really depends on how close you are to the towers but in general the 3G cellular technology that AT&T/T-Mobile use is going to be faster than the 3G technology that Verizon/Sprint use in the same conditions. It's just the nature of the beast. 500kbps is low no matter what carrier you're on but that's not unheard of.

I got over 1Mbps with Sprint on my old Palm Centro a while ago (couple years maybe) when I was in/near a decent city.

Which phone did you buy? The Nexus S 4G? There are many reports around the various forums of signal quality issues with that phone.
