I have read something and I want to know if its true.
I have a friend who is putting together a new pc.
He has.
Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz 800MHz FSB, 512mb cache HT
Mobo Gigabyte GA-8KNXP (REV 2.0) i875P chipset
1GB Corsair XMS PC-4000 DDR 500
The mobo has 6 slots for ram.
He was told that with hyper threading technology, you won't get the max performance unless you have 2 sticks of RAM. Put one in the first DDR slot and one in the 4th DDR slot if you have 6 slots.
Is this true becasue I have never heard of this.
