Ok call me dumb.

I just got my first amd 64 system and while I was looking through the option in the bios I found:
HT frequency
HT Width

What are they?

Thanks

Hypertransport speed and bandwidth. If you have a 754 system, you want it to be 64-bit and as close to 800 as you can get it without going over. For a 939 system, you want it to be 128-bit and as close as 1000 as you can get it without going over. If you're already at one of these values and you decide to OC, you may need to lower the HT multiplier to keep your system stable.

Here's a start from MSI:
HT Frequency:

This is for adjusting the BUS frequency between CPU and NF4 chipset. The default value is 5x. If using the standard CPU FSB frequency, then the total frequency will be 1000MHz. This is also the maximum of HT frequency. If you wish to overclock, such as from 201MHz to 250MHz, please set HT frequency to 4x. If you wish to overclock from 251MHz to 300MHz, please set HT frequency to 3x. If you wish to overclock over 300MHz, please set HT frequency to 2.5x.
I found that and more by searching Google for "HT frequency" 🙂

I guess the HT bus is completely separate from the memory bus then?
I gave you a place to look. Follow the force, young Jedi. 😎
